About Chaney's Environmental Service's LLC

Peace Creek moves slowly past Wahneta, and the town tends to wake with it — mist lifting off the water, a heron stepping through the shallows, mowers starting before the heat has any say in the day. Chaney's Environmental Service's LLC works these streets and the grove roads that hem them in, cutting lawns to an even nap and running the edger until the walk shows a clean gray line against the green. Clippings come off the drive and the porch steps rather than getting left to bake into the concrete. It is unshowy work, and it is the whole reason a yard reads as cared for from the road. By the time the afternoon stacks its heat over Polk County, there is a row of tidy lots behind the truck.
