About Jones Lawn Services

By early afternoon the sea breeze has come over the barrier island and pushed inland across the Indian River Lagoon, and the palms along the side streets start their dry rustling. Jones Lawn Services keeps cutting through that hour, when the light goes flat and hot and the grass gives off the green smell that says a yard has just been mowed. Mowing, edging, trimming around beds and utility boxes, then a full blow-down of the hard surfaces — the same rounds, done the same way, week on week. Vero Beach grass grows in January as gladly as in July, so there is no off switch, only a route and the discipline to hold it. A finished lawn here reads like a held breath: even, bordered, quiet in the afternoon glare.
