Aunt Bee's Services

About Aunt Bee's Services

At six in the morning there is a great deal of sky, a handful of houses still dark, and the grass on every side still holding dew. Aunt Bee's Services starts its days then, mowing while the air is cool, running the gravel drives so they hold their shape, trimming close where a deck can't follow. Summers are generous — heat, rain, and grass that gains an inch the moment your back is turned — so the weekly turn is what keeps a place looking intentional. Spring and fall bring the bigger tidy-ups, when a winter's worth of sticks and a season of leaves come off and the yard opens back up. The pleasure is small and repeatable: a green square, level and sharp at the edges, framed by everything around it.
