About Daniel Sledge Lawn Sevice

There is a particular half hour after a summer rain in Tiger Point when the pavement steams, the magnolias drip, and the heat backs off just far enough to work in. Daniel Sledge Lawn Sevice knows that window and uses it, running the mower while the light is soft and the air smells like wet oak and salt. Grass gets cut at a height that can take the sun that follows, edges are trimmed along the drive and the fence line, and the clippings are blown off the concrete instead of left to stain it. In the growing season the visits come close together because the turf here answers rain overnight. When the pace slows in the cooler months, the time goes into cleanup and detail — beds cleared, borders freshened, corners squared up. A lawn should look the same at the back gate as it does from the road, and that is how it gets left.
