About A Cutting Hedge

Morning arrives early on the sand roads west of Seminole Pratt Whitney, before the heat has formed any opinion about the day. A Cutting Hedge works the lawns and hedgerows of The Acreage, where a lot runs an acre and a quarter and a ficus line will swallow a fence if nobody stops it. Mowing, edging, string trimming and a blown-clean drive make up the morning, and the shrubs get shaped so light still finds the beds underneath. By the hour the thunderheads stack up over the Glades to the west, the yard is squared away and holding. A straight hedge, a crisp edge, and a house that looks cared for from the road — that is the whole of the job.
