Closedown

About Closedown

Closedown is what the last hour is called — the pass where the blower goes down the driveway one final time and everything gets put away right. Evening arrives gently over Woodmont Park, light going gold through the oaks, sprinkler heads ticking on somewhere down the street. The service runs a yard start to finish: mowing, edging, trimming, bed and walkway tidying, debris carried away. There's a particular satisfaction in a lawn at dusk with nothing left on it — no cuttings on the concrete, no trimmings in the beds, just grass. That's the whole idea, compressed into one word.
