About Chop Chop Landscaping

Chop chop — the name sets a tempo, and so does the Florida noon. By eleven the heat sits down hard on the Fletcher Avenue corridor and there is no arguing with it, so the work keeps moving: mow, edge, trim, hedges squared, on to the next gate. Landscaping here means shrub and hedge trimming, mulch refreshed in the beds, weeds pulled from the pavers, and the cuttings hauled off rather than left to bake on the drive. A crew that holds its pace reaches the shady side of the block before the worst of the afternoon. The yards left behind look like somebody finally decided something.
