About David Brinkley

In Shore Acres a king tide comes up through the storm drains and turns the street into a mirror for an hour, and then it slides back out and the grass goes right on growing. David Brinkley keeps lawns through those low waterfront blocks, mowing on a steady rotation, edging where turf creeps over the driveway apron, trimming along the seawalls and around the palm bases. Salt-touched ground and sand underfoot are simply the conditions of the job here, worked with instead of argued with. Hedges are shaped, yard debris is collected, and the walks are cleared at the end of the visit. Plain lawn care, St. Petersburg and the neighborhoods close by.
