About Hildreth Sod and Landscape LLC

Under Spring Hill the ground is pale sand over old limestone, and anyone who has tried to make a lawn here learns the first truth fast: green is something you carry in and settle down. Hildreth Sod and Landscape LLC works that trade across the quarter-acre lots Hernando County laid out in long curving streets — cutting sod to the shape of a driveway apron, seaming rolls tight so the joints disappear by the second week, watering instructions handed over before the truck leaves. The rest of the year is mowing, edging along walks, trimming where the mower cannot reach, and clearing every clipping off the concrete. In March, when the St. Augustine wakes up all at once, the difference between a fed lawn and a hungry one shows from the street. That change is the whole point of the work.
