About A Man and A Mower

Satellite Beach is a narrow strip of barrier island — Atlantic on one side, Banana River on the other, and only a few blocks of town between them. A Man and A Mower starts at first light in April, when St. Augustine wakes up and a lawn can put on a full week of growth in five days. Dew still sitting on the blades, ocean audible over the engine, one yard at a time down the street. Mowing, edging, trimming the borders, and every clipping blown off the walk and back into the turf where it belongs. One person, one machine, and a route that gets finished.
