About Fruitville Services

Where Fruitville Road runs east past the Celery Fields, the sky opens up wider than anywhere else in the county and sandhill cranes stalk the ditch banks like they own the place. Fruitville Services works that side of Sarasota, where the lots are generous, the wind crosses open ground, and Bahia grass takes over wherever it can. The job is mowing on a schedule that keeps up with the rains, edging the long drives, trimming out the fence corners and treating the weeds that ride in on that same wind. Clippings and cuttings leave with the crew, not into the swale. There is something satisfying about finishing a big open yard and seeing it lie flat and even under all that sky.
