About AL & Son's Lawn Care Inc.

January mornings on Bee Ridge Road come in cool enough that Floridians reach for a jacket, and the dew sits heavy on the St. Augustine until nine. That is the hour AL & Son's Lawn Care Inc. likes best - the grass still silver, the mower the loudest thing on the block. Behind the machine a line of white ibis steps in without hurry, working the turned turf for whatever the blades stir up. Sarasota gives back a lot for a little steady attention: an even cut, a trimmed hedge, a walkway swept clean of clippings. By the time the sun is over the rooftops the yard is done and the street looks a shade brighter than it did.
