Big Al's Lawn Care

About Big Al's Lawn Care

Around two o'clock on an August afternoon a thunderhead stacks itself up over Pensacola, white and enormous, and everyone working outside starts doing math. Big Al's Lawn Care does that math well: get the wide lots off Olive Road and through Brent cut before the sky opens, then edge and blow between the first drops. The rain here does not negotiate and it does not last long either, and grass that got twelve inches of July water is grass that needs a real machine and a real schedule. Mowing, trimming and cleanup all move at that pace, quick without being careless. By the time the storm has washed through, the yard is already cut and the street smells like hot pavement and clipped grass.
