About Professional Horticultural Services

East of Parrish the land goes to oak hammock and palmetto out toward Rye, and the pastures there still carry the loose, blond look of bahia in the sun. Professional Horticultural Services works the lawns between those pastures and the new streets, reading each one for what it actually is — sandy soil, hard light, and grass that does better cut a little high. Mowing, trimming and edging are the whole visit, done on a rhythm the turf can keep up with. The pleasure is in the contrast at the end: an open, even lawn with the wild green of the hammock standing behind it. Parrish is the center of the map, with Ellenton, Palmetto and Bradenton nearby.
