Grateful Tree and Hedge

About Grateful Tree and Hedge

Parkland yards are green rooms — clusia and ficus walls on three sides, a live oak overhead, and a floor of grass that has to hold its own in all that shade. Grateful Tree and Hedge keeps that floor right: mowed at a height the shade can live with, trimmed tight along the base of the hedge, edged so the bed lines read as lines. Shade grass is a patient thing, and the reward for patience is a lawn that stays even from the sunny middle to the dark corner by the wall. Mornings under those canopies stay cool long after the rest of South Florida has given up on cool. Parkland first, then the nearby streets of Coral Springs, Coconut Creek and Boca Raton.
