Aardvark Lawn and Pool

About Aardvark Lawn and Pool

Grand Lagoon wakes early. Boat trailers rattle down toward the pass while the dew still sits heavy on the St. Augustine grass, and that is the hour Aardvark Lawn and Pool likes best for mowing — cool, quiet, the lines laying down clean and parallel. Salt air is hard on a beach lawn, so the work here is attentive: where the spray burns thin, where the shade of a live oak keeps the blades soft, where the edger should ride to leave a shadow-thin margin along the walk. By the time the day boats are out past the jetty, the clippings are blown off the drive and the yard reads as one crisp shape from the street. That look back from the truck window is the whole reward.
