A Better Yard

About A Better Yard

The ground under Palm Bay is sand more than soil, so a lawn that looks well here is a lawn somebody has paid attention to. A Better Yard keeps the streets near Turkey Creek, where scrub oak and sand pine press up against the back fences and lay thin shadows over the St. Augustine grass. Mowing, edging, string trimming and a full blow-down of the walks and drive make the backbone of every visit. Beds get weeded and topped with fresh mulch, hedges get shaped back to a line, and the border where turf meets concrete is cut clean enough to trace with a fingertip. It is a plain kind of pride: you should be able to tell from the street that someone was here.
