East of Oviedo the ground lifts into sandhill and scrub, and by October the roadsides run purple with blazing star and gold with the last of the wildflowers. Wild Florida greenscapes and horticulture brings a little of that sensibility into the yards it keeps, mowing and edging in a way that respects the beds and tending the plantings that give a yard its shape. Nothing in this landscape sits still; a bed left alone for a month will say so out loud. The work is regular and hands-on, and it finishes with the walks cleaned off and the borders holding their line. Oviedo, Chuluota and Geneva all fall within the same reach.
