Michael Geist’s Yard Works

About Michael Geist’s Yard Works

The first real cool front of October slides into Oviedo overnight, the humidity drops off the town like a coat, and suddenly working outdoors is a pleasure again. Michael Geist's Yard Works takes full advantage of that window around Round Lake and the older streets near downtown — mowing, edging, trimming, cutting hedges back and clearing out beds that spent all summer filling in. Turf gets fed heading into the cooler months so it holds color instead of fading. Debris and clippings leave the property rather than pile up behind the fence. It is one yard at a time, done to the point where there is nothing left to point at.
