Gatorback Lawn Care

About Gatorback Lawn Care

Turn away from the surf in Ormond-by-the-Sea and the island shows its other shoreline: the Halifax River, slow and brackish, where herons stalk the shallows and dusk turns the water to hammered copper. Gatorback Lawn Care tends the grass of this slender community pinched between river and ocean. The name promises a hide-tough kind of grit, and Florida turf asks for it, with growth that hardly pauses from spring into fall and heat that arrives early and stays late. A finished yard is mown low, trimmed close along beds and paths, and swept tidy, so it looks composed when the sun drops behind the mainland. Between two waters, a tended lawn is the bit of steady green that anchors a house to its island.
