Prickly Pear Lawn Care

About Prickly Pear Lawn Care

Under every Orlando lawn there is sand — the old scrub ridge that ran down the middle of the peninsula long before anyone laid a street over it. Prickly Pear Lawn Care works with that ground rather than against it, mowing, edging and trimming so a St. Augustine yard out toward the Shingle Creek headwaters holds its color through the dry months. Mornings start early here, while the air is still cool enough to be kind, and the mower lines come out long and even. Beds get their shrubs shaped back and the clippings blown clean off the drive, so what is left is one quiet, finished rectangle of green. It is a small thing and a good one: a yard that looks tended on a January afternoon when the light goes amber by five.
