About Lawn Love - Orlando

March around Lake Eola: the fountain running, the swan boats out, and every lawn downtown deciding at once that it is time to grow again. Lawn Love - Orlando picks up that first flush of the year across Thornton Park and the brick streets east of the lake, where the lots are small, the shade is deep and the mower has to fit through a side gate. Mowing, edging along those brick curbs, string trimming around the oak roots and a clear-off of the walk are most of the job. The narrow yards reward patience, because a straight edge on a curving brick sidewalk is its own small piece of geometry. By April the growth is running hard and the visits settle into a rhythm that carries the rest of the year.
