About Jays Lawn Care Service

Noon in August down toward Shingle Creek is a wall of heat, the bahia going pale in the sun and the sabal palms holding perfectly still. Jays Lawn Care Service works straight through it, mowing the long open lots around Hunter's Creek, edging the sidewalks, trimming the retention-pond banks where the grass always outruns everything else. Palm trimming drops the brown fronds and seed stalks before the wind does it for you, and weed control keeps the beds from going to sandspur by September. Cleanups follow the wet season's mess, hauling out what the storms and the growth left behind. The reward comes at the end of the pass, looking back down a lawn that's even edge to edge with the heat shimmering off it.
