One Cut From Above

About One Cut From Above

There is a moment at midday when the sun stands straight overhead and a freshly mown lawn shows every stripe the deck laid down. One Cut From Above chases that look across Orange Park — mowing in alternating passes, edging tight to the concrete, working the corners a wheel cannot reach, then clearing the drive until nothing is left but the pattern. Grass here grows fast enough that the record of your work is temporary, which is precisely why it is worth doing carefully. A yard finished right is legible from the street: lines square, borders defined, nothing spilling where it should not. Come back in a week and do it again — that is the entire art of it.
