About Kenneth Collins Tree Service

On a cold January morning along Taylor Creek the fog lifts off the water and the oak hammocks stand out black against it. Kenneth Collins Tree Service is out in those hammocks and in yards all over the county, pruning and trimming the laurel oaks and sabal palms that carry a house through a Florida summer and taking down the ones that have quietly given up. Winter is a good season for the saw — the trees are resting, the ground is firm, and the heat isn't fighting you for every hour. That work pays off in September, when the wind arrives and the crown that was thinned holds. When something does come down, storm damage cleanup gets the yard and the pasture fence back the way they were.
