About Polk's Tree and Lawn Service LLC

Late in the afternoon the light in North Port turns gold under the live oaks, and the Spanish moss hanging off the low limbs barely stirs. Polk's Tree and Lawn Service LLC mows and trims through that hour, working the dappled yards out toward the Deer Prairie Creek side of town where oak and slash pine crowd the property lines. Grass grows unevenly beneath a canopy like that — thin in deep shade, thick where the sun cuts through — and it takes attention to leave a lot looking like one lawn. Edges are cut clean along drives and walks, shrubs are shaped back off the windows, and the day's clippings and leaf litter are gathered rather than left to mat. By the time the light goes coppery, the yard is done and the truck is rolling toward the next street.
