Kaptain Jake's Lawn Care

About Kaptain Jake's Lawn Care

Saturday mornings the boats file out through the inlet past the North Jetty, and half of Nokomis is awake to watch them go. Kaptain Jake's Lawn Care is out earlier still, the mower off the trailer while shade still reaches across the yard. Cut, edge, trim the fence line, blow the walks clean, always in that order, until a property holds its shape between stops. Hedges get squared, beds get cleared, and the palms along the drive give up their brown fronds before the wind claims them. The finish is easy to spot from the street: straight lines, a hard edge at the curb, and nothing scattered on the concrete.
