About Dave's Systems

From late fall into spring the rain keeps its distance from Nokomis, and a yard lives or dies by its controller. Dave's Systems runs on that clock, out early on the assigned watering day when pressure is strongest and the street is still dark, stepping through the zones one at a time. A cracked riser, a head sunk under the sod, a rotor stopping a hair short of the bed: small things, and every one of them turns up brown three weeks later. Repairs, timer settings, valve work and rain-sensor checks make up most of a visit, with mowing and trimming where a property wants the whole job in one pair of hands. The result is plain to read, even color across the lawn and dry pavement where the spray used to fall.
