About Grasshoppers: Hardscaping - Landscaping - Lawn Maintenance

There is limestone a few feet under most of Newberry, and something fits about a crew that spends its days setting stone back on top of it. Pavers go down on screeded sand — patios, walkways, sitting walls — cut to the line and swept tight, the sort of surface that reads as permanent by the second evening someone uses it. Landscaping fills in around the edges with plantings, mulched beds, shrubs shaped to the house, and grading that sends the rain where you want it. The maintenance side keeps all of it honest week to week, with clean margins held along every new border. October is the month this town gets paid back: evenings cool enough to sit outside, the oaks still full, a finished patio catching the last of the light.
