About Seaside Landscaping and Lawn Care

Out on Saxon Drive the wind comes off the Atlantic all day and carries salt into everything it touches, and the sea grape leathers up and takes it. Seaside Landscaping and Lawn Care works the barrier-island side with that in mind, choosing plants for the beds that can stand a February northeast blow, laying mulch that will stay put, and keeping the grass mown, edged and trimmed on a steady rotation. Sand shifts, dune grass leans, and a beachside yard needs a hand more often than a mainland one — which is simply the trade for living where the surf is audible from the driveway. The best moment is the walk-off at the end: hedges level, walk swept, a low fence line suddenly visible again. New Smyrna Beach is a town that lives outdoors, and its yards should be ready for it.
