Orchid Lawn Service

About Orchid Lawn Service

October in the Bayshore corner of Naples turns the roadside muhly grass pink and finally loosens the afternoon's grip. Orchid Lawn Service runs its routes through those blocks near the Botanical Garden, where old Florida yards sit under gumbo limbo and the grass still wants cutting long after the rest of the country has put its mowers away. Each visit is the same short list done in the same order — mow, edge, string-trim the beds and mailbox posts, sweep the hard surfaces clean with the blower. Here a lawn is a year-round thing rather than a summer one, and the routine is what keeps it even. Come dusk the yard holds the last warm light and looks entirely at ease.
