About RK Outdoor Services

By two in the afternoon a Middleburg summer starts stacking the sky into white towers southwest of town, and anyone who works outdoors here learns to read that clock. RK Outdoor Services runs the route against it — mowing, trimming and edging done and the trailer loaded while the first thunder is still only a rumor over Camp Blanding. Rain in Clay County does not simply water a lawn; it launches one, and a yard can put on half a week of growth in two humid days. So the rhythm is steady and unhurried: cut it at the right height, tidy the borders, clear the debris the storm knocked loose, and leave the place looking like the weather never touched it. When the sun comes back out over the pines an hour later, the grass is standing up bright and even, steaming a little, done.
