About The Green Design Collective

Glenvar Heights is built on old limestone, and anyone who has ever dug a planting hole here has met it — the ridge just under the soil, the reason ficus roots run sideways and the shade in these blocks is so deep and so hard-won. The Green Design Collective plans with that in mind, choosing what will actually thrive between the rock and the summer rain, then keeping it in trim once it's in the ground. In June the poinciana canopies go up in red over Bird Road and the whole neighborhood looks like it's celebrating something; the rest of the year it is hedges held square, beds kept clean, turf cut even to the property line. Design and upkeep are the same conversation, just months apart. Yards and gardens across Glenvar Heights and the streets around it.
