C & W Lawn Care

About C & W Lawn Care

First light on the Miami River is all diesel and gulls, freighters loading for the islands while the rest of the city stretches. C & W Lawn Care is already rolling by then, working the Allapattah and Grapeland blocks where the yards are small, sun-struck and stubborn. Mowing, edging, string-trimming around chain link and mango roots, hedges brought back to a straight line — the work is plain and the difference is immediate. By mid-morning the heat sits down on the pavement and the crew has moved on, leaving lawns that look combed. It is unglamorous, honest labor in a part of town that has always run on exactly that.
