The Billy Goat

About The Billy Goat

Some lots get away from people. One rainy summer and the grass is past your knee, the sea grape is leaning over the fence, and the back corner has gone from yard to thicket. The Billy Goat takes those on — cutting the overgrowth down, trimming the tangle back off the fence line, then mowing and edging what's underneath until it reads as a lawn again. Miami grows all twelve months and hides nothing, so the first visit is the hard one and every visit after it is easy. There is a particular satisfaction in the moment the ground reappears and you can see the property line from the street.
