January mornings on Merritt Island can arrive wrapped in fog off the water — the mangroves at Ulumay standing in it, an osprey somewhere overhead, the whole island soft-edged until nine. Blue Bell Landscaping starts the day in that hush, mowing at the cool-weather pace, edging walks, cutting back whatever went leggy through the fall. Winter work here is more shaping than shearing: hedges squared, beds weeded, palms tidied, leaves and fronds carried off. Then the feeding schedule brings the turf back up as the days stretch out again. Come March, the yards it tends are already green while the rest of the street is still waking.
