Gus Lawn Service

About Gus Lawn Service

Mayo is small enough that the courthouse square is the middle of everything, and at noon in July the whole town seems to hold still under the cicadas while the heat presses down on Lafayette County. Gus Lawn Service works straight through it, mowing the yards around town and the wider properties out toward the pines and hayfields, where a lawn runs to the tree line and the grass grows all summer with real conviction. East of here the Suwannee moves dark and cool below its banks, and the springs run out cold no matter what the thermometer says, which is a decent argument for finishing early. Mowing, edging, trimming, lot cutting and hauling off what the day turns up. A clean square yard in a small town is noticed by everybody who drives past, and that is a good reason to do it right.
