Yandy's Lawn Maintenance

About Yandy's Lawn Maintenance

In June the royal poincianas come on all at once over Marathon, orange spilling down the side streets off the highway, and by noon the heat sits heavy. Yandy's Lawn Maintenance cuts through the middle of those days — mowing, edging, string trimming, hedge and shrub trimming, weeding the beds, and raking and hauling whatever has come down. Grass moves fast in a Keys summer, so the schedule tightens and the route keeps rolling. There is a plain pride in the last look back: stripes laid even, edges cut sharp against the rock, blossoms swept off the walk. Then the truck rolls to the next one.
