Shades 'N' Blades

About Shades 'N' Blades

Crape myrtles line half the streets in this town and sabal palms hold the corners, so a Lakeland yard is as much canopy as it is grass. Shades 'N' Blades works both halves. Hedges get taken back square, shrubs shaped so they sit under the windows instead of over them, palms cleared of spent fronds and seed pods before a summer squall does it messily and for free. Underneath, the mowing and edging continue on their cycle, with the clippings blown off the walk at the end. When the shade above is in order and the turf below is even, a property finally reads as one composed thing rather than several.
