About Stern Lawn Co

The first mowers start before the heat does, when Lake Worth Beach is still blue-grey and the air off the lagoon has not yet turned heavy. Stern Lawn Co works the bungalow streets east of Dixie Highway, where the lots are small, the sidewalks sit close, and every line shows. Mowing, edging, string trimming, and a clean blow-down of walks and drives — the yard is left looking like someone thought about it. By the time the sun is up over Bryant Park and the joggers are out along the water, the grass is cut and the clippings are gone. There is a plain satisfaction in a whole street finished before nine in the morning.
