Sunshine Services

About Sunshine Services

By two o'clock in July the heat over Lake City has stacked itself into a thunderhead somewhere past the Osceola National Forest, and every yard in town is racing it. Sunshine Services works the cool end of the day, mowing and trimming while the light is still low, so the cut is finished before the rain comes in sideways and starts everything growing again by the weekend. Weed control and fertilizing get timed to that same rain — north Florida hands out water on its own schedule, and the trick is being ready for it. Hedges shaped, the drive edged sharp, clippings blown back into the turf where they belong. Then the storm arrives, the yard drinks, and next week begins greener than the last.
