Paradise Lawn and Garden

About Paradise Lawn and Garden

In August the afternoon builds fast: a purple wall out over the Gulf, ten minutes of rain hammering the roofs, then steam lifting off the asphalt and everything greener than it was at lunch. Paradise Lawn and Garden works the rainy months when the grass fairly leaps, cutting on a tighter turn, edging the walks and pulling the weeds that come up with the same enthusiasm. Wet-season growth is the test of a schedule — miss a week and a lawn goes from tidy to hayfield — so the crew stays ahead of it rather than chasing. Hedges get shaped, beds get cleared, and the clippings go out before they mat down and yellow the turf. There is something good about leaving a yard sharp while the sky is still dripping from the eaves.
