Lujan's Yard Maintance

About Lujan's Yard Maintance

The lanes off Simonton are barely wide enough for a truck and a bicycle to reach an understanding, and that is the route every week. Lujan's Yard Maintance keeps a standing list of Key West yards — mow, edge, trim the fence line, cut the hedge back to its face, sweep and load out — the same order, the same care, house after house. Doing it on a rhythm is what keeps a yard from ever needing rescue, because the island's grass does not take a month off. The crew knows which gate sticks, which corner floods after a heavy rain, which hedge wants a lighter hand. That accumulated knowing is most of the craft. What the customer sees is simply a yard that is always, quietly, in order.
