About Green World of

A Casa Marina yard asks a question before it asks for a mower: what should be where, and what should go. Green World of Key West works that out first — drawing the beds, siting the palms and the flowering shrubs, deciding where the walk should meet the grass — and then keeps the whole thing running with regular maintenance and mowing. Design on this island has to respect the givens: thin soil over rock, full sun most of the year, wind with salt in it, and rain that arrives all at once. Once the plan is in the ground, the visits do the rest, edging clean lines, shaping hedges and keeping the lawn at an even cut. The pleasure is watching a drawing turn into a place people actually sit in.
