About Fabi's Fabulous gardens inc.

Half the loveliest gardens in Key West are invisible from the street — courtyards behind wooden gates on Eaton and Southard, where bougainvillea climbs a coral rock wall and a ceiling fan turns over a shaded table. Fabi's Fabulous gardens inc. plants and keeps places like that, setting in hibiscus, plumeria and orchid trees, then coming back to weed, prune and mow whatever green square the house allows. Watering, light and salt all behave differently inside a walled yard, so the plant choices are made for the spot rather than the catalog. The crew edges the beds until the line between mulch and grass is a decision, not an accident. When the gate swings shut behind them, the courtyard looks like it simply grew that way.
