About Blue Seas Lawncare

On the Atlantic side the sun comes up out of open water, and for about twenty minutes the canals turn the color the town is named for. Blue Seas Lawncare starts its day in that window, mowing and edging the oceanside yards of Key Largo while the air is still cool and the salt is still on everything. Grass that lives this close to the water takes wind and spray all year, so it gets cut with a light, regular touch rather than a heavy one. The best part of the job is the last look back — the strip between seawall and lawn trimmed to a straight edge, the dock walk swept, nothing left floating. Some days a manatee comes up the canal to watch, and the work goes on around it.
