About Thirion's lawn and landscape

March in Kathleen is the strange month when the live oaks drop everything at once — old leaves, catkins, a yellow dust that finds every windshield in the county. Thirion's lawn and landscape spends it raking, blowing and hauling, then mowing underneath what has finally settled, edging the walks and shaping the beds back up for the growing season ahead. It is the least glamorous stretch of the year and the one that decides how the yard will look through summer. After the cleanup the grass gets light again and comes on green in a hurry. Standing back from a property that has been cleared, cut and edged in the same visit is a small annual pleasure.
