Francisco Lawn and More

About Francisco Lawn and More

Saturday in Kathleen sounds like mowers answering one another across the block, one engine starting as another winds down. Francisco Lawn and More is out in that chorus, cutting, edging, trimming the fence lines and hauling the trimmings away so nothing is left behind but the smell of the grass. The old grove rows still run beside some of these neighborhoods, dark and orderly, and a well-kept lawn borrows a little of that same straightness. Warm months mean the mower comes often; the dry stretch of winter means it comes less, and the price of the week is only what the yard actually needs. There is pride in pulling away from a house that looks better than it did an hour before.
