A Sharper Cut Lawn

About A Sharper Cut Lawn

Seven in the morning in Jupiter, and the air hasn't decided yet how hot it intends to get. A Sharper Cut Lawn starts right there — mower first, then the edge, that thin dark seam run along the driveway and down the swale where St. Augustine always wants to creep into the concrete. Wet season means weekly visits, sometimes two; the dry months slow the growth and turn the attention to corners and detail. The reward is the walk-back at the end: stripes still cool, edges crisp, drive blown clean, nothing left in the street. Mowing, edging, trimming and blow-down across Jupiter and the towns just north and south of it.
