Mantis Landscape

About Mantis Landscape

In winter the swell reaches Blowing Rocks and the sea shoots straight up through the limestone in white plumes you can hear from the road. Mantis Landscape works the mainland lawns on those hard-wind days, when salt rides inland and every kept yard has to be tough as well as neat. Mowing at the right height for sun-baked ground, edging where sand keeps reclaiming the concrete, trimming around the gumbo limbo and the hedge line, then sweeping the drive clean. The satisfaction is in taming a landscape that pushes back — a lawn cut square while the palms are still leaning. Jupiter in January is bright, breezy and unforgiving, and that is a fine season to do this work.
